Hurray, Rania is 3 !!!

Rania today - a 3 year old angel and beautiful.

The wrinkled white skin baby Rania was born on 16 April 2010 at Pantai Hospital and now she has turned to be a gorgeous  little girl with curly hair and a huge pair of dark brown almond-shape eyes. She is 3 today, excited at celebrating her birthday with her classmates and teachers at Julia Gabriel Playschool in Citta Mall and she loves presents. Rania is always looking forward to go to school and she knows all the teachers and the staff's names and they know her well. Initially she was quiet and shy but now she's as boisterous as the next little boy or girl.

She has celebrated her early  birthday on 13 April during the weekend. Gabe came. Rania is such a good and caring big sister. She dotes on Gabe and said 'Talk to Kak Nia Gabe!' and Gabe just went on playing. She fusses over Gabe. I hope they will become good friends.

Ranis was as proud as peacock when she successfully blew the three candles on her beautiful and delicious birthday cake. Ika was not happy with the cake. She ordered a more sophisticated one as shown in the blog by the lady who made the cake. But she made a different one without informing her. Obviously this lady is not customer-oriented and simply took for granted that her customers will accept whatever she made. Even though she stays so near our house, I don't think she would get a repeat customer from Ika.
The birthday party at her school was attended by two classmates. The other boys was absent. Rania's class is super small and she loves interacting with her friends and teachers. She will need quite a great adjustment when she attends a bigger class next year.

A Wonderful visitor

Sunday 31 March 2013, Rania came to my apartment for her grand visit. She has not been to PD for quite a while. I drove back to PD with her while her dad and mummy came much later. Traffic jam was bad on the highway and we were stuck on the road. Inspite of the slow traffic, Rania was happy and joyous, chattering all the way to PD. She asked endless questions, laughing, singing  and reciting al-fatihah and al-ikhlas. Rania was such a joy. At one instant we competed who could shriek louder. Of course I lost.
Now almost 3, Rania understands when I say 'Nenek is going back to nenek's house in PD' but she cannot comprehend where nenek's house in PD is. So last Sunday, she came over and was excited to be at nenek's house. It was so good to see her enjoying herself especially when her dad took her for a walk at the lagoon. While standing below the balcony under a coconut tree, she danced waving her hands and swaying her body ala Hawaiian dancer, calling 'Come mummy. come nenek.' It was a delightful sight.  
Her bright yellow Tangkuban Perahu t-shirt and short pants attracted a lot of attention. Her fair skin glowed and her curly hair blown wildly. I have a beautiful little girl as a grand daughter!
Strapping her to her car seat is quite a struggle for me but every time I succeeded she would say 'Good job, nenek!' or 'I am proud of you nenek!' I was tickled pink with that comment. Obviously, she imitates her mom and dad.
Rania is going to be 3 on April 16 with a quick and curious mind.
