For the past few days, Port Dickson waters are calm and tranquil as usual. Threat of tsunami hitting PD on 12 April at 2.41 am has fizzled away in most people's memory. Last weekend, PD was quite quiet and the resort didn't experience congestion for parking.
Thank God, because that weekend we celebrated Rania's 2nd birthday at Thistle Hotel in PD on 14 April 2012. Her actual birthday is on 16 April 2012.
On 11 April I received a number of SMS and calls from friends and ex-students inquiring whether I was in PD. My children were frantic. At that time I was nicely tucked on Jerai Hill staying at Jerai Hill Regency. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Many thanks for those who were concerned over my safety. May God bless you.
Pantai Murni in Yan Besar during low tide. 120412.
I promised Maz that I wouldn't go anywhere near the sea when I come down from Jerai Hill. Imagine my surprise when I drove to Yan Besar, Kedah to keep an appointment and it's by the sea. Before this I didn't have the faintest idea where Yan Besar is. I am glad I made an effort to go there and thus learn more about my country. The drive down from Gunung Jerai was not as intimidating as when I drove up. Since I was early for 10.30 am appointment, I took a slow drive along the coast and found it fascinatingly calm and serene. I can't imagine the wrath of the sea swallowing the coast by tsunami. It seems Yan Besar was affected during tsunami in 2004.
I stopped to enjoy the morning breeze at Pantai Murni in Yan Besar. As usual I felt so much disgust over the attitude of most Malaysians who litter and dirty the pretty seaside. The government has provided comfortable place ad facilities but was not appreciated by most people. I wonder what comes into their mind when they littered the place and vandalized the facilities provided.
I met the Homeopathy doctor as promised and he prescribed a ton of medicine to be taken as scheduled. I have done a lot of reading on homeopathy and I know it is organic and effect is long term. It remedied the whole system in the body to treat the root cause. I know glaucoma is degenerative but I hope homeopathy can slow down the process. I was thrown into upheaval again when during my last eye check up my eye pressure rose up. Functioning on 15% vision, this news is not a good one for me. So I decided to go for rigorous homeopathy treatment but still using the 3 eye drops prescribed by my specialist. I really want to avoid surgery. I also hope my reflux problem is addressed too.
It took me 6 hours to reach PJ home with short stops in between for washroom. It's wonderful to see Rania again and seeing Gabe the next day. I missed my 2 grandchildren a lot.
